"Making
Good Choices" is a comprehensive drug, alcohol and sexuality
curriculum designed to help students and families focus on healthy
decision-making. The program has been taught to thousands of
students and families.
The
curriculum is designed to assist schools, teachers, administrators
and parents in helping students make better decisions about alcohol
and drug use. There is also a component that deals with
sexuality.
Schools
have the option of having Joe present the entire program. This
includes a brief teacher in-service, teaching the program to
students and following up with a presentation to parents.
Some
schools choose to have Joe introduce the program to students and
then follow up with a parent presentation, allowing the teachers to
present the curriculum to the students. In this case, Joe will
offer a more detailed teacher in-service.
The
results of the program are extraordinary. At the completion of
the program students are armed with the knowledge, skills and tools
necessary to help them make good decisions. And parents are
better prepared to continue helping their children.
